My House Concert Story

We are the Occupy Mars Band in Long Beach, California. We wrote the Corona Virus Jazz Morna and it is on the Apple Store, Spotify, Pandora, and Youtube. We love Jazz for the opportunity to explore creativity. At present, we are doing our best to keep jazz alive in the schools. We play the music and sound effects for Kids Talk Talk Science (STEM Stories). We are working on a new visual jazz opera following the theme of colonizing Mars. When we are not playing music we are training high school tiger teams of junior astronauts, engineers, scientists, and pilots at the Barboza Space Center. Jazz and Mars is a great creative theme for me. I had the pleasure of working on a school project with Ingrid Pastorius, on keeping jazz alive in the schools. She died before we could complete the project. RIP (1950- 2011). I dedicated my first visual jazz opera to her and promised to complete the journey. We are working on our third visual jazz opera.
