My Jazz Story

I love jazz because this music explores the human experience. I was first exposed to jazz as a youngster meeting Eddie Harris and Les Mccann I met Eddie Harris, Les Mccann, Art Blakey, and Harry Connick Jr. The best show I ever attended was Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers at Mikell's Jazz Club in NYC. The first jazz record I bought was Thelonious Monk "At The Five Spot." My advice to new listeners... mix up your musical selections.
