About Me
SARAH PARTRIDGE
BIO
For the past 20 years, Sarah has been performing jazz around the
country. From New York’s famed Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel to the
Catalina Bar and Grill and Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. She has
enjoyed success at Washington D.C’s Blues Alley, Denver’s Dazzle Jazz
Club, and Scullers, in Boston.
Sarah has four internationally released CDs that have received
critical acclaim. “I’ll Be Easy To Find” on USA Records, “Blame It On
My Youth”, “You Are There. Songs For My Father” on Germany’s Nagel
Heyer Records, and “Perspective”, released by her own Peartree
Productions. She is currently working on an album of original
compositions called “I Never Thought I’d Be Here” scheduled for
international release in early 2015.
After graduating from Northwestern University as a theatre major,
Sarah remained in Chicago performing on stage, commercials and film.
Her first role out of college was opposite Tom Cruise in “Risky
Business” playing Kessler, the babysitter. She moved to Los Angeles
where she worked for 10 years in television and film. All the while,
her love for jazz was tugging her to a different stage. She found
herself at the Improv one evening, and on a dare, sang a karaoke
version of “Summertime”. A member of the audience approached her and
said he was a booker who specialized in jazz. From that day forward,
Sarah has been delighting audiences with her voice.
She continues to perform largely in the Northeast where she lives with
her family. She has performed concerts at several performing arts
centers, as well as the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, where she sang
in a tribute to the late Les Paul. When not performing, Sarah teaches
voice and is a Music Performance Consultant.
