My Jazz Story

I love jazz because it's a mood changer for me. I can choose an album, sit down to listen and get my head back in shape. I was first exposed to jazz in the mid-50s in Jacksonville, FL when I was but a little thing. My parents would put the radio in my room at night to soothe me to sleep. They discovered jazz was what did it for me. The first jazz record I bought was as best that I can remember a Dave Brubeck piece. Sorry, but the gray cells are turning to ash these days. My advice to new listeners is to ignore what your friends might think about your choice of music, find a jazz station in your area or online and experiment with various styles of jazz until you find one that fits your head. Caution should be exercised as this could lead to addiction.
