Jazzfan since I was born, jazzfan till I die...
My Jazz Story
I love jazz because I was born with a father who was a great jazzfan since the 40ies
I was first exposed to jazz Ellington Orchestra and Ella Fitzgerald in 1967 in Brussels
I met Chet Baker, Joe Lovano, Charles Lloyd, Branford Marsalis, Jan Garbarek, David Murray, DD Bridgewater, Madeleine Peyroux, Marcus Miller, Richard Galliano, Paolo Fresu, and many others.... (interviews for a Belgian daily newspaper and jazzaroundmag.com
The best show I ever attended "Five Peace Band" when Herbie Hancock joined Chick Corea and J McLaughlin for the "encore".
The first jazz record I bought was Errol Garner's "Alexander Ragtime Band ( single)
My advice to new listeners: enjoy live shows!
Or whatever else you have in mind... so many things!
