My Jazz Story

I love jazz because... Does not swing like a diver's boot. I was first exposed to jazz...1948 I met [musician name]...Des "Bear" Edwards The best show I ever attended was...Louis + All Stars 1950's in Melbourne The first jazz record I bought was... Fats:"Ain't Misbehavin" 78 in 1952 My advice to new listeners... Listen to black guys, they invented it. Or whatever else you have in mind. Check out Rev Robert Stewart (Sonny Rollins' protege' played sax for Wynton Marsalis I think I am the only jazz muso in the world who did a motorbike solo in a club while on a gig. Used to have a drink or twenty in those days. Full story in my book "Fine Tunes" Tell me if you would like an E version Mike & I will post it to you free. (tell me your PO box)
