About Me

Music and jazz have played an enormous part in my life, starting from when I was nine and lucky enough to interview the late jazz vocalist Marion Montgomery for my school paper. She introduced me to jazz and suggested I listen to Count Basie... I duly went away and did just that. I have been hooked ever since.

Nowadays I live between Southampton and London, UK--splitting my time working under various guises within the jazz industry as well as studying toward a PhD in Audience Development.

Writing about jazz is my true passion though--I am currently Jazz (and Classical) Editor for thegirlsare.com and the Jazz Journalist for Time Out London.
