My Jazz Story

I was first exposed to jazz at sixteen (16) and for the next years main source of jazz was "American Forces Radio" and "Voice Of America". I met Gary Burton after his performance in Athens and chatted for a while. Also met and chatted for a little bit with Steve Coleman and Phil Woods many years ago in Athens. The best show I ever attended was The Heath Brothers featuring Phil Woods at Palace Theater in Athens. My advice to new listeners is keep listening and keep searching for new unsung heroes of jazz.
