Classically trained under minimalist composer Brian Wilshere and by turns jazz drummer, folk guitarist and composer of scores, Richard Lewis--an Englishman living in Paris--now turns to the piano to present his own jazz-tinged songs, alongside flugelhorn player Jean-Baptiste Bridon, saxist-flautist Jean-Hervé Michel and violinist Laurence Freund. The material sits at the intersection between jazz, folk, ambient and pop, quietly subverting all of them.
