IN THE FIFTIES MY COUSIN HAD THE BANDS ART PELOSI AND THE ART TONES AND TONY TOMASSO AND THE JEWELS OF DIXIE, FEATURED AT BOVI'S TAVERN IN EAST PROVIDENCE R.I. .... BOBBY HACKETT HAD AN OPEN INVITATION TO BE A SPECIAL GUEST, WHEN HE WAS IN TOWN TO VISIT HIS FAMILY. HE PLAYED AT BOVI'S MANY TIMES AND PACKED THE HOUSE.
