David King

This Publisher/Editor Is Stoked About Music

About Me

David W. King has been involved with music since a child. As a youngster, his grandmother, a second generation German/American immigrant, wishing to instill in him a background in the humanities, insisted that he study music. Demonstrating an aptitude and early talent for the piano, he studied classical piano at the Interlochen Center For The Arts, Interlochen, Michigan, where he studied piano performance and acquired a fundamental background in composition and musical theory. While in high school, he played sax and drums with his high school jazz band. He minored in music appreciation while getting his journalism/media degree in college, throughout which time he supported himself as a musician. He has been involved in radio broadcasting/publishing/promotions for over thirty five years.
