The roots: Musical education: Jāzepa Medina muzic college, flute class Georg Gots music college in Estonia (Tallin), jazz dep.,saxophone Jāzepa Vitola Music Academy of Latvia Flute class (prof. Strautins) Enschede Music Academy jazz dep. Deniss studied in meny workshops with Hall of Fame artists like : Joe Lovano workshops in Estonia, Jerry Bergonzi workshops in Spain, Workshops in Berklee College of Music in Freiburg (Germany) privat tranings with Boris Gammer ( jerusalem music academy ) and Umbria jazz festival (Italy) - ( gradued with scholarchip) His teaching activities : Teacher – 18th Annual IASJ Jazz Meeting . Deniss Pashkevich is leading workshops for young musicians in jazz. Also leading his family business , privat music school ,, Performing Art School,, He is teaching improvisation ,saxophone, flutes , practical jazz harmony and ensemble lessons . Deniss is IES London sertificied teacher in jazz music. Traditions: Steeped in the tradition of John Coltrane ,Deniss Pashkevich is a Latvian flautist & saxophonist, producer, ad-libber and educator with a profound calling. Activities/Europian Tour Balticness: Deniss’s own country has highly evaluated his investment in music in general, not only in Jazz, choosing him and his band Riga Groove Electro to represent Latvia in 11 Baltic Sea countries in the frame of the project Balticness (2007-2008), during which he performed in the best concert halls of those countries. The culmination of this project was its Gala Concert, where Deniss and participants from other countries performed in front of 11 prime ministers and President of Republic of Latvia Valdis Zatlers. The State has expressed its gratitude to Deniss, by issuing him a certificate of honor for “Strengthening the Republic of Latvia”. Places: His sound has penetrated all the major festivals in the Baltics and Scandanavia such as Pori Jazz, Klaipeda Jazz, Rigas Ritmi, Birstonas Jazz, Jazz Kaar, Jazz Globus in Israel, Quasimodo Jazz Club in Berlin, Fasching Jazz club in Stockholm and Akwarium Jazzarium in Warsaw, Jazz House in Copenhagen and Music Village in Brussels In 2008 he performed as soloist with Latvian National Chamber Orchestra. Besides concerts: He and his wife Jolanta Gulbe -Pashkevich are owners and educators of private jazz school – ,,Performing art school ,, in Latvia. He performs in and is a musical producer of TV shows. For ten years Deniss has been conducting different jazz workshops in Latvia, former Soviet Union and Europa . He is the founder of concert agency and jazz music records company ZePirats ,Pashkevich management group in Latvia.
