About Me

Fini discovered jazz as a teenager armed with a tenor sax and some Mingus cds. She went onto complete a BMus in Music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, graduating in July 2007. Whilst there, Fini studied both Classical and Jazz Singing and Composition with some of the countries top musicians, including Martin Hathaway, Penny MacKay (classical voice),Pete Churchill, Anita Wardell, and Martin Speake. She also took part in workshops with such Jazz Luminaries as Sheila Jordan, John Pattitchucci, Brandon Marsalis and Norma Winstone.

After graduating from the Guildhall Fini went on to spend 18 months under the tuition of renowned US vocalist Judy Niemack and US guitarist and composer Kurt Rosenwinkel, at the Jazz Institute Berlin, Germany. There she had the opportunity to work with Guillermo Klein, John Hollenbeck, Ed Partyka and Jim Black. Fini graduated with a Masters in Music (voice and composition) in November 2009.

Since relocating back to London in February 2010, and now very much back on the UK Jazz Scene, Fini is working once more with her London based Quartet, and they are hoping to release their debut album Step Up in Spring 2011.

Fini has performed across Europe in a variety of musical constellations from jazz trio to vocal accapella. These include established venues such as The 606 Jazz Club, The Vortex, Ronnie Scotts, Pizza Express Dean Street, The Spice of Life and The A-Trane, Berlin. She has sung with her own band and as part of other ensembles at numerous music festivals including The London Jazz Festival, City of London festival and Howden Jazz Singers Festival.
