My Jazz Story

I love jazz because... it makes my head go up into the clear blue sky I was first exposed to jazz... as a child thanks to my mom and dad, who used to dance to oscar peterson's live orchestra in montreal I met [Dana Reason]... at a radio station we both did shows on - she is one of the greatest unsung (or not sung enough, anyway) pianists i've ever heard - like a combination cecil taylor, teddy wilson, la mont young, john cage and bach al la glen gould The best show I ever attended was... toss up between ornette coleman toronto 1982, cecil tayor toronto 1977 and john zorn masada montreal 1997 The first jazz record I bought was...oscar peterson the trio (pass, pederson live) My advice to new listeners... you don't need advice, you just need to listen Or whatever else you have in mind.
