You can find Graziella working behind stage 1 waiting for Benny Golson to take the stage or sitting with her laptop reading the latest allaboutjazz news.
I’m a native New Yorker with over twenty years of Marketing and Public Relations experience, earned through people watching on my long subway commutes (before the cleanup) to Manhattan from my Bronx home. My turbo-paced gigs as a fashion copywriter and ad agency Account Executive were 80’s fabulous but it wasn’t until the year 2000 when I found Jazz. I met Warren Oree, leader of the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble and worked as his agent and publicist until 2003 when we decided to start LifeLine Music Coalition, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting jazz and the arts in Philly. See www.lifelinemusiccoalition.com. We produced our first festival that same year – the Philadelphia Jazz and Poetry Festival, and its success led to a contract in 2004 to produce the first annual West Oak Lane Jazz & Arts Festival – www.westoaklanefestival.com. Currently in its seventh year, LMC has enjoyed bringing hundreds of musicians to an audience of thousands including: Roy Ayers; War; Al Jarreau; George Duke; Benny Golson; Ashford and Simpson; The O'Jays; The Mingus Big Band; David Sanborn; Esperanza Spalding; Sun Ra Arkestra; Dirty Dozen Brass Band; Philadelphia Freedom Jazz Orchestra; Odean Pope Saxophone Choir and more.
My jazz world continues to evolve and I’m delighted that Mike Ricci, publisher and founder of AAJ, has recently asked me to join AAJ as Advertising Manager. I’ve been promoting jazz as a producer and publicist for ten years now, so working with AAJ is only natural. We jazz lovers need to stay connected... up to the minute, up close and personal. So besides at live concerts and events, lets meet up at the number one online destination for everything jazz..allaboutjazz.com.
