Born in Capetown,South Africa..Crazy about jazz based musics.Played Guitar,Violin,Oboe,Keyboards,Bass,Drums,Vocals..graduated from medical school.moved to New York City,got to play with many of my heros-Booker Ervin,Howard Mcghee,Jimmy Garrison,Billy Hart,Elvin Jones,Roland Kirk, Ted Curson ,Sheila jordan,Bob Moses and other wonderful musicians. Moved to Boston,graduated from the New england Conservatory with a jazz piano and Oboe degree..Mentors there included Jaki Byard,George Russell,Thad Jones,John Lewis,Kenny Dorham,Bob Brookmeyer,Frank Foster,Gerry Mulligan,Cecil Mcbee,Buell Neidlinger Tom Mckinley and more..
