PATRICIA DEAN

Female drummer & vocalist

About Me

Female drummer/vocalist originally from the Tampa Bay area, started singing in church at the age of 7. Her fascination with the drums came at age 11 when seeing Karen Carpenter on the Ed Sullivan show sparked her interest and she was soon practicing drumming and singing at the same time. Soon after her 14th birthday, PATRICIA was out doing gigs with her father and brother. Over the years PATRICIA has performed with Jazz legends Nat Adderley, Ira Sullivan, Gordon “Whitey” Mitchell, Bobby Militello, Manfredo Fest, Kenny Drew, Jr., John LaPorta, among others. She has led her own trios in Jazz festivals, supper clubs, resorts and on cruise ships. She performs regularly in the Naples area with pianist Stu Shelton and trumpeter Bob Zottola.
