Gia Mora is an American actor, singer, and writer.

Gia Mora is an American actor, singer, and writer known for her work on Baskets (2016), Impress Me (2015), and
True Detective (2014). In addition to film and television, she has an extensive theatre resume and has performed
with companies including Arena Stage, Woolly Mammoth, the Kennedy Center, Ford's Theatre, and Michael Kahn's
Shakespeare Theatre Company. She is a four-time Helen Hayes nominee and an Academy Company Member at
New Musicals, Inc.
A third-generation jazz musician, Miz Mora frequently performs with her father, guitarist Rick Chinisci. Her
critically acclaimed one-woman musical comedy, Einstein's Girl, has played to sold-out houses on both coasts.
She is signed to Modern Songbook Records, which released Einstein's Girl, The Album and Gia Mora Sings
Charlie Barnett. Her musical compositions have been heard on Minnesota Public Radio as well as in several films
and TV shows.
Along with Taryn O'Neill and Tamara Krinsky, Miz Mora is one-third of Scirens--the screen sirens for science. Their
work as a creative team promotes science literacy through entertainment. Scirens' half-hour comedy MOMs was
a finalist in the 2018 New York Television Festival Scripts Competition.
Miz Mora graduated summa cum laude, with departmental honors, in Screenwriting/Playwriting, from the
University of Colorado and received a diploma in Italian Language and Culture from the University of Pisa. She
has also studied at Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles and the National Theatre Conservatory in Denver.
An active member of the animal rescue community, she hopes to make Los Angeles a no-kill city. Miz Mora loves
discussing politics, chatting green living, and snuggling her two adopted kitties.
