My Jazz Story

I'm a 38-year-old copywriter, music journalist and fiction author. I was born and raised near Manchester, UK. I now live in Germany. My writing regularly appears in The New York City Jazz Record, Jazz Journal and the Free Jazz Collective website. I have very varied taste in jazz music. Above all, I love attending concerts where musicians improvise for a live audience. I prefer small venues to giant festival tents, and I enjoy small bands more than big orchestras. But jazz covers a huge range of styles and experiences, and I'll listen to it all. And then write about it :-)
