Zachary Weg

I'm a Queens native and deep lover of jazz, especially the music of Mingus and McBride, and look forward to discovering even more musicians through All About Jazz.

About Me

I first heard jazz in early high school when one of my brothers played me some old Benny Goodman and I instantly loved it. In the years since, I've thankfully come across some other great jazz musicians, whether it be Charlie Mingus or Christian McBride, and I hold the art form deep in my heart. I'm honored to be a part of All About Jazz and very much look forward to contributing to the publication.

My Jazz Story

My House Concert Story

Among the many great jazz shows I've attended are The Bad Plus at The Village Vangaurd, Charles McBride at the Vanguard, and many shows at Smalls just down the block. Downtown New York is a mecca of jazz, and I look forward to going to many more concerts in the future when it safe to do so.
