My Jazz Story

I love jazz because of its freedom of expression. As a jazz musician and singer I have always been captivated by the creative and often unusual rhythms and melodies. I listened to jazz as a child in my youth and instantly fell in love. I later learned that I was attracted to the expansive scales and chord structure that could make any classical, popular, or any other genre take on a whole new life. The most attractive feature of jazz to me is that the imagination of the comoposer and artist is limitless. Jazz has the ability to take the listener on an euphoric journey and other times move one to tears.
