My Jazz Story

I was first exposed to jazz through the music of the punk band Sonic Youth and The Grateful Dead. The best show I ever attended was Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, led by Wynton Marsalis when the visited Honolulu, Hawaii with a close second being Ornette Coleman at Jazzfest in New Orleans. The first jazz record I bought was Offramp by Pat Metheny.
