About his new CD “Viva Jujuy”

“Viva Jujuy” is a folk tune from the north of my country (Jujuy is an estate that is part of a region called “La Puna” which is described in the lyrics of the song) called “bailecito”. It is a very popular song with many versions among which highlights Mercedes Sosa and Jaime Torres. “The strong man” is dedicated to my father. “For Charlie H:” dedicated to Charlie Haden “Tour de force” one of my heroes: Dizzy. “Is different” This tune was included in my first CD. Here's a new version “I’m not what you think” The up tempo tune. I could not miss this song to enjoy with the musicians. “K:J: the pianist” dedicated to Keith Jarrett “Wind games” It’s just that. Freedom “You’re my cane” Dedicated to my wife, who has been the main support of all my albums. It’s a folk song called “chacarera”, a rhythm from the center of my country (Santiago del Estero). “A fly on the tailpiece” Another blues to enjoy with the musicians.
