My House Concert Story

During the Covid pandemic, we were contacted by the AFM musicians trust fund to present a virtual, in house concert. We, the Jerry Tachoir Group and the Duo Tachoir were very appreciative of this opportunity to work and keep presenting music, however, it had to be one of the weirdest things I have ever done. As a performer, energy is obtained from audience reaction. During this live streaming concert, there was no physical audience. After each tune, there was quiet and that was extremely awkward. I know people were watching based on the counters, however the lack of hearing the applause and seeing the audience was weird. I'm glad we had the opportunity and I'm glad with modern medicine there are now vaccines that hopefully will get us back to normal. There is nothing like performing a concert in front of an enthusiastic audience. Best to all.
