About Me

Irakli Koiava was born on February 27th,1979 in Tbilisi, Georgia.In 2002 his actively began studying percussion instruments and started practicing the percussionmusic.In 2005,during Festival fur Neue Music “Close Encounters”,Irakli participated and performed in a drum masterclass with Lucas Niggli.in 2008 Irakli performed and improvising in a “Drummers’Jam” festival with Alexander Mashin and Isfar Sarabsky.In January 2009 Irakli playing on Jam session With Vytautas Labutis,Eugenijus Kanevičius in kaunas,Lithuania.In 2011 was playing a new film about Irakli Koiava “My Feelings”.Irakly is playing in Vilnius with Tomas Dobrovolskas.In 2013 Irakli was invited at Tumanishvili theatre,he voiced in live a spectacle “Dragon” in 2 acts,it was a great successes. In the same year Irakli invited Rain Sultanov to his new project “My Feelings”and participated Kavkaz Jazz Festival in 2013.On 24th of November 2013 in Oslo,Norway he was invited to Rainbow Studio at a new project of Rain Sultanov “Voice of Karabakh” and ”Inspired By Nature release new CD,Rain Sultanov,Alim Qasimov,Shahin Novrasli,Linnea Olsson,Yasef Eyvazov,Yasuhito Mori,Peter Nilsson.Recorded & Mixed by Jan Erik Kongshaug in Rainbowstudio.On 20th of September 2013 Irakli issued his first album Irakli Koiava & Friends “My Feelings” And Exsperimental Album ,,Acoustic udu 1,, - 2007&.2010 1 disc.In 22 may 2014 Irakli was play on International Day for Biological Diversity. New Clip ,,Touched By Nature,, organizer Company (GIZ).in 2 December 2014 irakli was playng in project “voice of karabakh”by rain sultanov with with Rahşan Apay,David Carlsson-Directed by Sound on Concert in Heydar Aliyev Center Baku Azerbaijan.In 2015 irakli was playng nexst Tour Performances in Lithuania,Latvia,Estonia,Poland.In 02 april 2016 irakli was invited to Shain Novrasli and Jazzbook production in new project by Shain Novrasli and recording in Studiosextan in paris with Shain Novrasli,Didier Lockwud,James Cammac,Andre Ceccarelli,organaised by Jazzbook_record production in paris,France.In 23 oqtomber 2016 irakli was plaied on Bakujazzfestival.
