About Me

I'm really confused as to how this is different from “my story” on the other part of my profile. Regardless, as this is basically an extension of my bio which should not be included in “my story” I shall refer you to “my story” to read my not bio.

My Jazz Story

I was (and still am) a geek. When the other kids were listening to top 40 pop radio I was checking out Ornette Coleman, Charles Mingus, the NBC Tonight Show Orchestra, and Tommy Dorsey. It's not that it's more cerebral or that it has an underlying revisionist conceit that it belies the music's emotional attachments to the subject matter (that's sarcasm by the way). There must be something intrinsically within that not only allows me to appreciate the genre but to enjoy it as well.
