My Jazz Story

I am a member of a disappearing league of jazz listeners who actually grew up listening to jazz. My father had a vast record (yes, record) collection that spanned a diverse range of jazz styles. I am truly grateful that my ear was attuned so early to jazz, America's classical music. When I listen to jazz I am particularly drawn to some element of blues. At the heart of jazz, there seems to be a sense of musical invention and exploration. This music is constantly unlocking my heart and giving it wings.
