Louie Moon was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in the San Francisco Bay area in California. Inspired by luminaries like Miles Davis, Wes Montgomery, Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana and Earth Wind and Fire, who were performing in local venues, Louie at sixteen, began singing and playing guitar while absorbing the vibrant music scene. Mostly self-taught, Louie started performing professionally on guitar and singing with bands in clubs at age eighteen, and began touring internationally by age twenty. After studying music with Ed Kelly, Bob King and Elmo Diamante at Laney College he moved to Los Angeles to study guitar, theory and composition with, among others, Pat Martino and Joe Di Orio, Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood. Soon after graduation, Louie toured Brazil as Orchestra Leader for Eartha Kitt. Returning to the San Francisco Bay area Louie studied and graduated from the Audio Engineering program at Los Medanos College, and was recruited by the Sound Design team for Danger Productions on the ABC network television production “Bump In The Night”.
Numerous recording sessions, club gigs, national and international tours with bands and artists followed.

Moon has cultivated, seasoned and distilled his musical style into a rich brew of Jazz, R&B, Funk and Latin influenced compositions, guitar and vocal performance.
Co founder with with Jeff Wollman of “FOURUM” in 2016 originating from a friendship started back at Laney College.
