My Jazz Story

Published on: 2018-03-08

I love jazz because of its creativity, expression and interaction, and of course the sound! I was first exposed to jazz musicals and my parents' singing. I met Pat Metheny! The best shows I ever attended were: Pat Metheny Group, Wayne Shorter, and Yellowjackets. The first jazz record I bought was Joe Pass "Chops." My advice to new listeners... jazz music is one of the most fun genres, keep digging until you find your absolute favorites!

My Favorites

  1. Pat Metheny - Bright Size Life
  2. Wayne Shorter - Phantom Navigator
  3. Joe Zawinul - Dialects
