Il nome di Franz Hautzinger è conosciuto nell'ambito dell'avanguardia e dell'improvvisazione. Il titolo di questo CD, Gomberg II, difatti dovrebbe risultare familiare agli appassionati di questo genere, in quanto il primo Gomberg, risalente al 2000 ha smosso abbastanza le acque, con la sua pretesa di creare un nuovo linguaggio per lo strumento, senza riferimento alcuno agli schemi correnti.
