Interessante la configurazione dell'ensemble adottata dal pianista tedesco Christian Pabst nella realizzazione di Song of Opposites. Il collaudato piano-trio del leader viene affiancato in cinque brani da un trio di archi, in un paio di brani da un trio di fiati, mentre “Point Ephemere" vede all'opera l'ensemble al gran completo con l'ulteriore apporto di una voce.
