A pair of hard–hitting big–band sessions by Philadelphia’s City Rhythm Orchestra, the most recent of which, Swingin’ Blue, we’ll survey first, as it showcases one of Philly’s favorite sons, the dynamic young organist Joey DeFrancesco.
