Jason Roebke & Tobias Delius: Panoramic Il disco viene registrato nell'aprile 2011 presso gli studi BelAir quando la ICP Orchestra fa tappa a Chicago durante il tour per gli States. Tobias Delius, una delle colonne del portentoso ensemble olandese, incontra Jason Roebke, contrabbassista tra i più rappresentativi della scena jazz della Windy City, e prende forma Panoramic. Album nel quale l'inesauribile tensione improvvisativa di Delius e la prestanza fisica del contrabbasso di Roebke, la sua capacità di essere nello stesso tempo dentro e fuori i canoni jazzistici, danno origine ad una musica molto libera nella sua espressività ma con un allure classica nella sua profondità.

Complici anche le sonorità che i due estraggono dai rispettivi strumenti: un soffio caldo avvolgente quello del sax, impegnato in percorsi tutt'altro che lineari e agevoli affrontati con un relax interiore davvero ragguardevole; dai pastosi toni autunnali carichi di essenza di legno quelli del contrabbasso. Non mancano momenti ostici e un poco misteriosi soprattutto quando Delius imbraccia il clarinetto e Roebke lavora le corde del suo contrabbasso con l'archetto, ma complessivamente Panoramic è un dialogo intimo e sussurrato tra due valenti improvvisatori.
