Dear All About Jazz Readers,

If you're familiar with All About Jazz, you know that we've dedicated over two decades to supporting jazz as an art form, and more importantly, the creative musicians who make it. Our enduring commitment has made All About Jazz one of the most culturally important websites of its kind in the world reaching hundreds of thousands of readers every month. However, to expand our offerings and develop new means to foster jazz discovery we need your help.

You can become a sustaining member for a modest $20 and in return, we'll immediately hide those pesky Google ads PLUS deliver exclusive content and provide access to future articles for a full year! This combination will not only improve your AAJ experience, it will allow us to continue to rigorously build on the great work we first started in 1995. Read on to view our project ideas...

1. Joseph Haydn, Symphony 44, 25, 49 Iona Brown & Academy of St. Martin in the Fields (haenssler CLASSIC, 2000).

2. Charles Mingus, Pithecanthropus Erectus (Atlantic, 1956).
Violento e sexy. L'essenza del jazz.

3. Wyschnegradsky, Wyschnegradsky / Ives: Quarter-Tone Pieces (HatHut, 2007).
Ho recentemente pubblicato una nuova traduzione del Wyschnegradsky's Manual of Quarter-Tone Harmony. I suoi preludi sono Romanticismo al futuro. Fantastico anche Ives.

4. Bruce Mather, Hommage to Ivan Wyschnegradsky (SNE, 1994).

5. Albert Ayler, Live in Greenwich Village: The Complete Impulse Recordings (UMG Recordings, 1998).

6. Prokofiev, Romeo and Juliet: Valery Gergiev & London Symphony Orchestra (London Symphony Orchestra Ltd -2010).
Questo disco mi stende. Ed è pure registrato magnificamente.

7. Dwight Yoakam, Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc. (Warner Brothers, 1986).
Ho incontrato recentemente Dwight a Los Angeles e sto ancora guardando i video delle sue performance. E continuano a scorrere nella mia mente.

8. John Coltrane, Offering: Live at Temple University (Verve -2015).

9. Varese, The Complete Works (Decca, 1998).

10. The Beach Boys, Pet Sounds (Capitol, 1966).
