TONY CIMOROSI plays and endorses the N.S. Electric Upright bass, Abe Rivera six-string contra bass guitar, La Bella Strings, ART and Sabine gear.

nce in a while you may see him poppin' on his 62 jazz bass at some funky club in the NYC area. His influences are Jazz, African, Brazilian Afro-Cuban and R&B styles. Lately Tony's been seen playing with the Jazz Lobsters Big Band and pianist Michael Wolff's Impure Thoughts featuring Badal Roy on the Indian tabala drums. He's on the faculty at Iona College just outside NYC in Westchester NY. His Hal Leonard published book World Beats Grooves for Bass has done well in retail and continues to sell.

Tony also finds time to be a columnist and featured writer for Bassics Magazine, interviewing musicians like Victor Wooton, Vinnie Calaiuta, John B. Williams and many others.

With his 3rd release Horizon gearing up for radio at the end of January 2006, Tony's collected a roster of world renowned musicians including Saturday Night Live saxophonist Alex Foster, former Weather Report percussionist Frank Colon, Jeremy Wall and trumpet great Randy Brecker. This CD features music and musicians from around the world joining Tony for another example of his far-reaching musical scope.
