Chicago area trombonist Tim Coffman will be joined by The Sam Salomone Trio in kicking off the 2012-13 Synergy Jazz Concert Series. Joining Coffman on the November 10 concert will be Iowa City trombonist Rich Medd in a special two trombone quintet featuring a few of the duet arrangements from the legendary J.J. Johnson/Kai Winding sessions.

General admission concert tickets are $15, $7 students, Drake student rush-free. Tickets may be purchased at midwestix, or the Synergy website. Workshops and jam sessions are FREE.
