A SWINGING NEW TAKE ON DISNEY CLASSICS, PAST AND PRESENT

There's only one place where the magical innocence of the Disney Songbook comes together with the swinging sophistication of a jazz master: Iridium, when the club hosts the debut of a new show that will appeal to everyone from connoisseurs of jazz to the youngest fans of the latest Disney DVD.

Roy Gerson leads his orchestra through a parade of hits and memories from the Mouse Factory including classics like “I Got No Strings, “ Chim Chim Cheree" and “When You Wish Upon a Star" to the newest hits from Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and Tarzan. When Gerson starts to swing, your dreams come true.

6:00 PM SHOW “I LOVE LOUIS" THE MUSIC OF ARMSTRONG, JORDAN AND PRIMA. A RESPECTFUL TRIBUTE TO THREE MUSICAL INNOVATORS AND HOW THEIR CAREERS (DRAWN FROM ARMSTRONG) SHAPED MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY

Three music titans. Three fantastic repertoires. Three outrageous personalities. Roy Gerson pays affectionate tribute to the three musical giants who transformed the sound of the twentieth century: Louis Armstong, Louis Prima, and Louis Jordan. From the roots of jazz in New Orleans, through the hot spots of Las Vegas, to the formation of R&B and rock'n'roll, the three Louies made every kind of sound and Gerson hosts the music of these entertainers with the eight-cylinder drive they deserve. Songs include: “Struttin' with Some Barbecue," “Choo-Choo-Ch-Boogie," “Sing, Sing, Sing" and other medleys from these manic masters. COVER - $25.00 MINIMUM - $15.00
