Listen to “I Love LOVE”

Portland, Oregon-based singer-songwriter Shelly Rudolph is set to captivate audiences again with her latest single, “I Love LOVE." This soulful and funky song celebrates the universal power of love.

Teaming up with renowned jazz-soul artist Charlie Hunter, trumpeter Cyrus Naibipoor, and drummer Reinhardt Wolfgang Melz, Rudolph delivers a track that promises to delight music lovers of all genres.

“I Love LOVE" began as a poem, as many of my songs do, but when I stepped up to the mic I started singing! Thus, a song was born.

Lyrically, it is playful and sweet but the message is deep: love in any / every flavor, in any / every combination is to be savored and celebrated.

As a follow up to my album, “The Way We Love" this unabashedly sassy number has a decidedly different sound but my mantra and life mission remain the same: LOVE always, always. That's all we are here for."

Drawing upon her signature style, which combines soul, jazz, and blues, Rudolph infuses “I Love LOVE" with infectious energy. Her sultry vocals shimmy and twist alongside Hunter’s trademark groove-driving guitar/bass hybrid sound, and her well-thought-out lyrics delve into matters of the heart, sweet delights, and the universal urge to celebrate love in all its forms.

In addition to Charlie Hunter's incomparable talents, whose soulful savvy on the guitar adds depth and dimension to the track, Shelly is joined by New Orleans-steeped rising star trumpeter Cyrus Naibipoor and all-star drummer Reinhardt Wolfgang Melz. They contribute their unique flair to the mix and elevate “I Love LOVE” to new heights.
