2010 has seen a continual growth of the Artists Recording Collective roster of member artists and producers. ARC includes GRAMMY winners and musicians who create high quality and thoughtful work of most all styles across the entire jazz spectrum.

Two exciting young artists, saxophonist, Anthony E. Nelson, Jr. and guitarist, Dan Arcamone have joined ARC. These two young men represent much of what is positive about the future of the music and the continuation of this creative tradition into our modern times. Newest signings also include: Dr. Christopher White, who brings his debut recording release of all original music to ARC, and the always artistically progressive, Professor Bruce Gertz (Berklee College of Music).

ANTHONY E. NELSON, JR.

A formidable talent in his own right, Nelson has graced the stage with an array of phenomenal figures such as Billy Hart, John Hicks and Don Braden. With an ability to float in and out of genres, perfecting his sound in each, Nelson has consciously not tied himself down to any one sphere. He has served as the clarinetist in the quintet of MacAruthur award winner and Grammy nominated violinist, Regina Carter, appearing with her on NPR's Jazz Set.

Nelson has also been privilege enough to work with a number of talented musicians, ranging in genres. His credit list includes such powerhouse artists as the Ojays, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, the Ray Charles Orchestra, Henry McKenzie Davis, the Count Basie Orchestra and the Cab Calloway Orchestra.

Anthony E. Nelson, Jr.'s current release is titled “Testament" and was recorded live at Cecil's Jazz Club in New Jersey.

Dan Arcamone

A diverse player, Arcamone is equally at home creating arcing melodies on a ballad as he is taking the reins on a burning, rock-fused solo, qualities that have caused him to make waves as both a leader and sideman. After building his reputation as a sideman, most notably with the Damon Grant Project with whom he recorded the album Sonidos Nuevos, Arcamone can now be found leading his own trio consisting of Rich Zurkowski bass and Tom Ash drums. The group, which performs Arcamone's original, modern-jazz compositions, is as adventurous as it is polished. Melded together with a sense of communication that can only be developed by long nights on the bandstand.

His debut album, Trioisms, immediately turned heads and brought critical attention to Arcamone the player and composer. All About Jazz described the album as “genre-defying" and “ground breaking," two monikers that Arcamone wears well. Drawing from a diverse array of genres such as rock, pop, jazz and the avant-garde, Arcamone's musical style is hard to pin down with a single term, needless to say it the result of years of focused study and focused performances. These experiences have culminated in a personalized approach to the guitar that challenges the listener to think outside of their common expectations, while inviting them to join Arcamone on his sonic explorations.

Dan Arcamone is building on the success of his first album with the release of his highly anticipated second record, (In)Motion.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS RECORDING COLLECTIVE

The Artists Recording Collective (ARC) was co-founded on December 7, 2007 by alto saxophonist, Christopher Burnett; tenor saxophonist, Erica Lindsay; and, pianist, Sumi Tonooka as a professional response to an inherent void within the music industry.

Specifically, the co-founders endeavored to create and maintain a modern recording label brand to serve as a platform to promote and release the projects and recordings produced by professional artists and composers. As experienced professionals in the field who also engage the new paradigm of the 21st Century music industry, their goal remains for the company to objectively and effectively serve as a platform for creative artists, producers and labels—like themselves.

Today, the Artists Recording Collective (ARC), is an independent label and established music brand name that is powered by the idea that artists need a home base for all of their music and activities. Association with the ARC brand serves to continually enhance the profile of member artists and labels on both, national and international levels. ARC primarily does this by making effective and efficient use of most all relevant professional resources that are available to publicly introduce recording artists and musicians working in our innovative times.
