Jazz legends come together at Flushing Town Hall to perform live together on Friday, November 17th at 8pm. The world-renowned musicians including NEA (National Endowment for Arts Jazz Master Award) Jazz Masters: Jimmy Heath on saxophone, Clark Terry on trumpet and Dr. Billy Taylor on piano with famed musicians Tootie Heath on drums, Benny Powell on trombone, and Earl May on bass. Each of the musicians has earned international respect through many years of performances, recordings, clinics and workshops throughout the United States and around the world. This concert will be a truly momentous moment for Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts at Flushing Town Hall and the jazz community.

ABOUT FLUSHING COUNCIL ON CULTURE AND THE ARTS
For 25 years, Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts, in association with the Smithsonian Institution since 2004, has been a creative catalyst for developing and promoting arts throughout Queens, presenting art exhibitions and award-winning performances of jazz, opera, theater, dance and classical music as well as providing educational opportunities for community residents of all ages; and vital services to local artists and arts organizations. These activities take place in historic Flushing Town Hall, which the Council renovated and operates on behalf of the City of NY.
