British comedian and drummer, John Thomson, is to co-host the Buddy Rich 25th Anniversary Memorial Concert that takes place for the first time in the UK at the world-famous London Palladium on 2nd April 2012.

John, an accomplished Jazz Drummer, is best known for his roles in The Fast Show and the award-winning drama, Cold Feet. Drumming is an important part of his life; he has often said “if I hadn't become an actor, I'd have been a drummer." He will co-present the show with Buddy Rich's daughter, Cathy Rich, as well as playing a number with the Buddy Rich Big Band. Joining John on stage to celebrate the music of the late, great Buddy Rich will be Dave Weckl, Gregg Bissonette, John Blackwell and Gregg Potter from the USA and Ian Paice, Ginger Baker, Gavin Harrison and Elliott Henshaw from the UK. Plus singer extraordinaire Tony Christie will also be appearing.

This is the first time the annual memorial concert has come to the UK. Previous sellout shows have taken place in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Boston.

Tickets are available from the Box Office on 0844 412 4657 or online at seetickets.com, priced from £25 to £60. There are a limited number of VIP tickets available, which represent the best seats in the house, an opportunity to meet the headline artists, admission to the after- show party and signed merchandise.

This is one show not to be missed—the world's greatest musicians in the world's greatest theatre paying tribute to “the world's greatest drummer." Be there!
