The Podcast Express has been a joy. I feel that my show is more about human nature, survival, and community which is so vital to the times we are now living in. The Podcast Express is also a reminder about the positive things in life.
—Tom Scott
Finding himself with lots of down time during Covid, legendary saxophonist Tom Scott started a podcast series as a means to reconnect with his friends. The result is Tom Scott’s Podcast Express which features conversations with famous artists, personalities, and old friends he’s formed close bonds with over the course of his incredible 50-year career in the entertainment business. These relationships naturally include fellow musicians but also include actors, writers, filmmakers, members of the media, and politicos. The audience is treated to a “fly-on-the-wall” experience listening in on engaging and humorous personal stories.

Series Launch

April 7, 2021 with Vanessa Williams

As each conversation progresses, the listener quickly discovers that Tom has likely played a role in each of their lives— like a six degrees of Tom Scott. True to Tom’s down-to-earth personality, the series is all about creative pursuits and the shared human experience. The who’s who guest list featured on Tom Scott’s Podcast Express includes Vanessa Williams, Herb Alpert, Jim Belushi, Ray Parker Jr., Patti Austin, Paul Shaffer, Sheila E, Eric Church, Billy Bob Thornton, Anjelica Huston, Paul Williams, Vince Gill, Michael Steele, Chris Matthews, Wendie Mallick, Malcolm McDowell and more.

Tom remarked,“the Podcast Express has been a joy. I am having a blast hanging out with my friends and colleagues from the past and the present. Their stories are inspiring and I learn something about life from my guests on each episode. I want to engage my listeners by sharing my guests struggles, but also their triumphs in ways we could never predict. I feel that my show is more about human nature, survival, and community which is so vital to the times we are now living in. The Podcast Express is also a reminder about the positive things in life.”
