The 7 Virtual Jazz Club is proud to announce the winners of the 8th edition of the contest and to launch the call for entries for the 9th edition
Milan, March 19, 2023, during a live-streaming event, the judging panel and the finalists joined the award ceremony for the Pros & Amateurs and the Under 25 category.
Second prize goes to American drummer Anthony Fung with the tune “A call for peace": live Concert in Urbino Plays Jazz’s Festival (Italy); two hours of free consultation on the Canadian jazz market offered by Chronograph Records (Canada).
Second prize went to Norwegian group Tuva Halse Quintet with the tune “Ambivalent": one full scholarship for the participation in the Keep an Eye Summer Jazz Workshop 2023 offered by Conservatorium Van Amsterdam (Netherlands), one-day recording session offered by The Artist Garage (Italy). Special Prizes Best soloist prize to vibraphonist Sasha Berliner (USA): free access to the main course “How to book jazz gigs” offered by Jazzfuel.
Innovation prize to Thierry Maillard Trio Moog Project (France): Live Concert in Un Tubo Jazz Club Siena (Italy)
