42nd Le Festival International De Jazz De Montreal: June 30-July 9, 2022

The Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, presented by TD Bank Group in collaboration with Rio Tinto, kicks off on June 30, treating audiences to headlining acts at the heart of downtown Montréal until July 9, 2022. In total, more than 350 concerts are on the program, 2/3 of which are free, on a pedestrian-only site. Here’s a peek at what’s going to make this a better-than-ever festival edition.

NICK CAVE: STRANGER THAN KINDNESS
Immerse yourself in Nick Cave’s personal and creative universe during this one-of-a-kind exhibition. Nick Cave: Stranger Than Kindness, presented by the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, evenko and Workers of Art until this coming August 7 at the Galerie de la Maison du Festival.

LIVE MURAL PAINTING
The Festival international de Jazz de Montréal has invited artist Kezna Dalz / Teen Adult to paint a mural at Club Montréal TD. Teenadult is a multidiscplinary Montréal artist, known for her work that features raw lines and vibrant colours. Feminism, anti-racism, pop culture and sexuality are some of the recurrent themes explored in her work.

Come see the artist in action at the Esplanade de la Place des Arts from June 30 to July 4, between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

RADIO-CANADA IN JAZZ MODE
ICI MUSIQUE’s show Quand le Jazz est là, hosted by Stanley Péan, will be broadcast live from Le Studio TD on June 30 and July 1, 4 and 6, at 5:30 p.m. At 6 p.m. the show will treat listeners to scheduled performances broadcast live from Le Studio TD.

ICI MUSIQUE listeners will be able to hear the artists programmed at Studio TD live as if they were there.

In addition, Radio-Canada is proud to present the Urban Science Brass Band's ambulatory show, which will crisscross the Quartier des spectacles every day starting at 5:00 p.m. to offer as many people as possible an extraordinary musical performance.

Plus, every day between noon and 11 p.m., music and dance fans will have the chance to unveil their talent during the ICI MUSIQUE karaoke.

ZONE TD
Take a break at either one of the two TD zones, located at the Place des Festivals or the entrance to the Esplanade de la Place des Arts. If it rains, come grab a poncho to keep you dry while you soak up the shows.
