Ravita Jazz

Bassist Phil Ravita is free-lance musician and fronts his own jazz group. He is a member of The DC, and New York Musician's Unions. He is an Endorsed Bassist, Charting Recording Artist, Composer, Band Leader, Jazz Radio Show Host, and an award-winning composer

Phil plays various styles of music in small and large ensembles on acoustic and electric bass. H He has shared the concert stage with guest artists who include Bobby Shew, Jimmy Heath Claudio Roditi and Gabrielle Goodman, Diane Hoffman, Joyce Scott, Ruby Glover Scott Wenholdt, Renee Georges, Herb Scott, Alex Norris, Fred Moss, Victor Provost, Kim Nazazrain, Aku Aldrich, Sean Johnson, Geoff Reecer, Thad Wilson, Jen Krupa, and Steve Wilson. He also appears regularly in DC accompanying other guest artists.

He played at the Annual Calvin Jones Big Band Jazz Festival. His efforts also include performances at Artscape, performance with the touring company of "Grease," the East Coast Jazz Festival, Mid Atlantic Jazz Festival, An Die Musik, Germanos, Buddy's Jazz Club, The Haven Place, Cordellia Street Cafe, Dahlak Jazz Club, Joe Squared, Lexington Market and Night of 100 Elvis’s, Twins Jazz Club, The Count Basie Theatre, DC holiday Market, and The Brixton.
