Mary Cross 2NspireU
Mary’s musical career began at age 12 when she joined the church choir. What she thought was mimicking voices was discovered to be an aspiring songbird with a rich bellowing contralto voice reminiscent of the late Phyllis Linda Hyman.
Mary performs to sold out audiences throughout the tri state region. She has shared the stage with artists Gerald Veasley, Eric Robeson, Allyson Williams, Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble, William Wardlaw (Luther Relives), The Legends, The Mayor, The Blue Notes, Grammy nominated producer Donald Robinson as well as local bands and groups.
Mary’s optimistic views are affectious. Raised in foster care from birth, she endured a tumultuous childhood – but never allowed her circumstances to define nor derail her belief in seeing the good in others nor the importance of making a difference through her love for music and being kind - despite past experiences.

I hear in her quality vocals such clarity that reminds me of Phyllis, Sarah, Nina, Etta and the songbird Minnie, those whom I believe from the heavens give her musical interpretations a decisive endorsement of approval. Yes, Ms. Cross is a real talent, and I am blessed to have the pleasure to enjoy hearing her on this side of glory." ~ORLANDO CHANDLER, SOUTHERN NJ~
