My Jazz Story
Published on: 2019-02-04
I love jazz because I am a Berklee College of Music Graduate, jazz has always been my go to music. I attended on a Performance Scholarship and graduated in 1999.
I was first exposed to jazz at a very young age, my parents only played, classical, jazz and gospel music in the home.
I have met countless musicians over the years, and played with them too. What I love most about musicians is their desire to create.
The best show I ever attended was: That is hard to say; I view each show as a new adventure, I truly have enjoyed them all.
The first jazz record I bought was Wes Montgomery Boss Guitar.
My advice to new listeners: Modern Jazz Today (modernjazztoday.com) plays a wide breadth of jazz from fusion to bop and beyond, my goal is to cover all styles of jazz to celebrate the diversity jazz has to offer.
