Radar Suzuki: Lahar
La Unit Records ci propone con questo Lahar il lavoro fresco e spumeggiante di un bel quartetto svizzero costruito attorno alla sezione ritmica raffinata e competente formata dai fratelli Sisera. Luca al basso e Dario alla batteria, per la precisione. Sono con loro il bravo chitarrista di Lucerna Franz Hellmüller e il sassofonista spagnolo Carles Peris.

La musica è per metà composta collettivamente dai quattro membri del gruppo, per metà firmata invece dal chitarrista e dal batterista. Le composizioni sono molto interessanti e originali, con un linguaggio che pesca dal jazz più moderno, dal rock progressivo e dalla giovane musica contemporanea. Le dinamiche sono sempre ben controllate e messe al servizio dell'espressività complessiva.

Le uscite in assolo sono ben calibrate, mai troppo dilatate, centrali senza essere esageratamente pervasive. Si direbbe che l'istinto centrale sia quello del lavoro di assieme. Una bella formazione di provincia, capace di sconfiggere i team più blasonati, applicando le regole del gioco di squadra.

Due a zero e palla al centro.
