Das Kapital: Kind of Red
All'inizio c'è il "pezzone," quello che solitamente negli album rock è il brano da ascoltare fino allo sfinimento. Non necessariamente il migliore ma quello che colpisce in maniera diretta, epidermica per poi insinuarsi sotto pelle, smuovere il corpo, solleticare l'ugola.

"Webstern" è proprio questo, il sax di Daniel Erdmann che parte sornione e lentamente ti avvolge nelle sue spire grazie ad una melodia sinuosa e ad un riff assassino, la batteria di Edward Perraud ad assicurare la giusta dose di sostegno ritmico e la chitarra di Hasse Poulsen che passa da un'azione di accompagnamento acustico ad una sontuosa cavalcata elettrica. Meraviglioso inizio, si diceva, di un album che sorprende traccia dopo traccia.

Kind of Red è il primo disco interamente sviluppato attorno a composizioni originali -dopo i progetti dedicati al compositore tedesco Hanss Eisler e ai classici natalizi -dal trio franco-tedesco-danese denominato Das Kapital. Tre eccellenti strumentisti mettono in campo unità d'intenti e diversità espressiva, e offrono un caleidoscopico affresco che attinge tanto al rock quanto al jazz in maniera originale, inventiva e di immediata accessibilità. Salvo poi rivelare ascolto dopo ascolto nuovi particolari e nuove suggestioni, con i tre minuti di "Au Fond Des Yeux" che indirizzano inesorabilmente il telecomando verso il tasto replay.
