Che dire? Annata mossa con brio, intrigante se si ha la curiosità di setacciare fra le varie edizioni discografiche, che ormai non sono più espressione di un mercato orientato e condizionante. Ottime conferme (Henry Threadgill, The Claudia Quintet, Franco D'Andrea...), ma anche novità di spessore da batteristi sempre più di riferimento (Jaimeo Brown, Matt Wilson...) e sorprendenti ritorni (Ellery Eskelin, Tino Tracanna...).

Per quanto riguarda i concerti ascoltati qua e là, ho voluto mettere l'accento su alcune favolose solo performance. In ognuna delle due categorie mi sembra inevitabile mettere in evidenza che oggi il jazz italiano è al livello di quello internazionale, evidenziando anzi proprie peculiarità.
